PetroVietnam faced with revenue dip

State-owned PetroVietnam has forecast that its revenue will decline by nearly a third in 2015 as it unveiled plans to trim production due to unstable oil prices. The operator said it planned to cut oil output by around 3% to 16.8m tonnes (123.1m bbl) in 2015. PetroVietnam produced 17.37m tonnes (127.3m bbl) of oil this year, which was 7.2% higher than its target for the year. Gas production also bettered the company’s target by 7.4%, with the operator producing 10.2 Bcm (360.1 Bcf) of gas. PetroVietnam expects gas output to drop by around 3.9% next year to 9.8 Bcm (345.9 Bcf).
