State-owned Petrovietnam posted revenues of 134 trillion Vietnamese dong ($5.9 billion) for the first six months of 2017, 13% above its expected target for the period, despite oil price volatility. In the first half of 2017, Petrovietnam's total oil and gas production reached 13.54 million tons (equivalent to 544,000 b/d). Domestic oil output hit 7.9 million tons in the first six months (317,000 b/d), 141,000 tons higher than expected, while gas volumes reached 5.25 billion cubic meters (1 Bcf/d).
