France’s Total will gain a stake in the Mahakam Block offshore Indonesia that it will share with Japan’s Inpex once its operating rights expire at the end of 2017, when state-owned Pertamina will take over operatorship, according to reports. The Indonesian government said that Pertamina would gain a controlling 70% stake in the block, leaving Total and Inpex to jointly hold the remaining 30% share, Reuters reported.
