Light maintenance expected in Europe

European refiners plan a light turnaround season this spring,as they are reluctant to carry out more than essential maintenance after enjoying the most profitable six months for many years.Another reason for light turnarounds this year is that many refineries carried out major overhauls leading up to the reduction of sulphur in transport fuels in the EU in January 2005.
