Crude retreats from record high

Nymex WTI crude retreated from a record front-month high after the EIA report revealed a smaller-than-expected draw in gasoline stocks and higher refinery runs.But the market was supported by fears over Iran's nuclear dispute with the UN.Nymex WTI hit record highs at or above 77/bl on 21 April for contracts from September 2006 to January 2007,with October hitting an all-time Nymex WTI high of 77.30/bl.
