Dana Gas and Crescent Petroleum Announce the Start of Gas Production in Iraqi Kurdistan

Dana Gas and its partner, Crescent Petroleum, both of which are based in the emirate of Sharjah, announced on 4 October that they had started producing, processing and evacuating natural gas from the Khor Mor field in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. The first phase of the project, which was completed in a period of just 15 months, entailed the conduct of seismic surveys, the drilling of production wells and the construction of a new gas processing plant, as well as the laying of a 180-km gasline across a mountainous region.
