Gas Production and Processing Capacity of Dana Gas/Crescent Petroleum in Iraqi Kurdistan Now Up to 200 Million Cu Ft/Day

The natural gas production and processing capacity of Dana Gas and its associate, Crescent Petroleum, in the Kurdistan region of Iraq has now reached 200 million cubic feet/day. On the occasion of the second anniversary of the start of production from their gas project in the region, the two companies, both of which are based in the United Arab Emirates, pointed out that they supply all the fuel gas required by two thermal power stations at Erbil and Chemchemal, which have a combined capacity of 1,250 MW. Their gas production is now running at 160-180 million cu ft/day and their cumulative output since October 2008 exceeds 72 billion cu ft of gas and 3.3 million barrels of liquids.
