Shaw Stone & Webster Wins Contract for the Construction of Yansab's Butene and Aromatics Units

After signing a letter of intent (LOI) with Shaw Stone & Webster in February for the construction of the 400,000-ton/year high-density polyethylene (HDPE) unit of the complex being developed by Yanbu National Petrochemicals Company (Yansab - AOG,16 Feb.,2006),Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic) has signed a second LOI with the U.S.company for two other units of the Yansab complex.It relates to an EPC (engineering,procurement and construction) contract for the 135,000-ton/year butene unit and the 250,000-ton/year benzene,toluene and xylene blending unit.Shaw points out that engineering work has already started and that the plants are scheduled for completion in 2008.
