Russian bitumen output seasonally down

Russian bitumen production dropped by 42.7pc in November from October, to 273,600t, according to Russia's Ministry of Energy. This is typical of the seasonal slowdown as winter weather starts to grip the country and bitumen demand slackens in Russia's domestic market. Bitumen production for January-November fell by 13.9pc to 4.57mn t year-on-year as demand was generally lower in the domestic market amid weakened financial situation road construction enterprises. November's production was 23,000t lower than for the same month of 2014.
