Ecofys says EU can halve GHG emissions by 2030

The EU could reduce its greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions by almost 50pc by 2030 against 1990 levels if industries implement available energy-efficient technologies and there is greater deployment of renewable energy systems in the power sector,according to a report by Dutch energy consul- tancy Ecofys.
