Shenyang Lianli launches large Cu anode project

Shenyang Lianli Copper Co., Ltd had recently started construction of a large-sized copper anode project at Xinmin city of Liaoning province, sources close to the situation said. The project will have the capacity of 200,000tpy of copper anode, 10 tpy gold, 300tpy silver, 1.0 million tpy sulfuric acid and bring 600 million yuan(USD74,2 million) of pre-tax profits each year. And it will become the largest one of its kinds in Chinese northeast north regions in terms of copper, gold and silver. The project will be completed by stages with Stage 1 investment of 500 million yuan(USD61.8 million). 33.8 percent of which, or 160 million yuan, will be used in environmental-protection facility and technology for the copper project. It is expected that the company will adopt the advance technology and facility for the copper project thus its coal consumption per tonne copper cathode will be less than 500kg, well below 1,000kg with the traditional method.
