Under the new chairmanship of Satbir Gill, there was a full house for LoTAG with attendees celebrating what could be a new lease of life for this well-respected technical forum. Mr Gill is a hard man to say no to and is keen to ensure London members fully support LoTAG's Group 1 - traffic and transport - and get the most out of it. He is also considering launching a Group 3 for waste, on top of Group 2, which covers maintenance and structures. Attendees were not disappointed by the quality of talks at the meeting. Sally Gibbons of the DfT's traffic and technology division gave a first hand account of work on the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD) 2016 and updates to the Traffic Signs Manual.
