Prices to keep on falling in February

Turkish mills will be seeking to knock import scrap prices down amid higher risks of a drop in finished and semi-finished quotes in Febru?ary. Taking into account that scrap usage remains more profitable than re-rolling of own billet, we expect scrap prices to decrease at a slower pace. Some rebound in steel demand and prices in March (by $10/t on average) as well as a stabilization in April will have corresponding influ?ence on scrap prices.
