Iron ore quotes continued surging in Russia in October, following September changes in global indices. Prices in formula-based contracts rose by 9-10%. In the spot market, suppliers lifted offer prices more significantly (by?13-14%) in order to fix the most advantageous starting points for further negotiations, as it was impossible to step up sales substantially anyway.
