AimPeroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) activation is associated with preferential lipoprotein lipase (LPL)-mediated fatty acid storage in peripheral subcutaneous fat depots. How PPAR agonism acts upon the multi-level modulation of depot-specific lipid storage remains incompletely understood.
