Metal futures: Cu sets new highs, Sn falls

Base metal prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) were mixed in the official morning session as copper continued to rally higher and tin fell after touching fresh highs yesterday. The three-month LME copper contract climbed by 1.5pc to $9,260.50/t. Comex’s next most active month copper contract gained 2.8pc to close at $4.29/lb. Meanwhile the spot month contract closed 2.7pc higher at $4.30/lb.
