Sydney—Australia’s Woodside Petroleum produced 21.9 million barrels of oil equivalent (238,043 boe/d) in the third quarter of 2013, up 9.5% from 20 million boe in the preceding three months, and remains on track to meet its output target for the full year, the company said Thursday. The rise in production compared with the previous quarter was largely due to increased output at the Woodside-operated North West Shelf joint venture in Western Australia following the completion of planned maintenance on the LNG plant’s train two during the second quarter.
