Woodside forecasts 2012 output jump

Australian energy company Woodside Petroleum said in an investor update on Friday that it expects its oil and gas production to jump from between 173,000-175,000 boe/d in 2011 to up to 222,000 boe/d in 2012. The increase will largely come from the ramp-up of the Pluto LNG project. Gas started flowing to the Pluto production platform in November, and liquefaction is expected to start in the first quarter of 2012.
