An optimal perturbation bound for the partial isometry associated to the generalized polar decomposition

In terms of singular values and determinants, a new perturbation bound for partial isometry polar factor is derived and is proved to be optimal. The sharpness of this newly obtained perturbation bound is illustrated by numerical tests. (C) 2019 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
