Huntsman expects third-quarter gain despite Hurricane Harvey

Huntsman (The Woodlands, Texas) says strength in global poly- urethanes, continued recovery in performance products, and the delay of a turnaround at Port Neches, Texas, will help ofset the efects of hurricane-related outages at its facilities on the Texas Gulf Coast, and the company continues to forecast a sequential gain in third-quarter results. "While our operations in the region were temporarily disrupted, there was no signifcant damage to any of our manufacturing sites and, except for the planned turnaround at our Port Neches, Texas, facility, all are either now operating or are in the process of returning to normal operations,” says Peter Huntsman, president and CEO.
