German distributor Stockmeier acquires stake in austrian frm

Chemical distributor Stockmeier (Bielefeld, Germany) says it has acquired an unspecifed stake in family-owned distributor HDS- Chemie Handels (Vienna, Austria). Stockmeier's operation in Vienna will merge with HDS-Chemie, efective 1 March, as part of the deal. Financial terms have not been disclosed. Buying the stake in HDS- Chemie gives Stockmeier access to distribution sites at Bratislava, Slovakia; Iasi, Romania; and Vienna.
