P-type Bi{sub}0.5Sb{sub}1.5Te{sub}3 compounds were prepared by spark plasma sintering in the temperature range of 300-420°C. Effect of sintering temperature on thermoelectric properties have been investigated by measurement of Seebeck coefficient α, electrical resistivity ρ, thermal conductivity K. As the sintering temperature was increased, α and K is increased, whereas, ρ is decreased. It was found that the highest figure of merit is 2.26 × 10{sup}(-3) at 380°C sintering temperature.
