摘要

The organic-modified titanium oxide sol was synthesized in hydrophobic solvent by the catalytic sol-gel process containing the isostearate-modified Ti(OCH(CH_3)_2)_4 and the extremely small content of H_2O. The salt neutralized from isostearic acid and n-hexylamine acted as a catalyst. The isostearate-modified titanium oxide sol had a layer structure. The layer structure was formed using also another carboxylate modifier. The basal spacing depended on an alkyl chain length of the carboxylate. A transparent self-standing film was obtained by floating the organic-modified titanium oxide sol onto water. Organic modifiers in the sol were completely removed by the treatment in a basic aqueous solution to prepare titanium oxide with a high surface area.
