摘要

The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new learner modeling method by diagnostic techniques. Recently, the need for effective learning and training is rising, especially in scientific engineering field, which demand the learning of complex tasks and expertise knowledge. The learner model is the fundamental component of Intelligent Learning Support Systems by which systems can individualize the instruction to a particular learner. Therefore, the Intelligent Learning Support System must have learner model that represents an estimate of the learner's current understanding of the domain knowledge to be used by tutor in order to give adaptive hints and explanations to the learner. In this paper, we discuss a new approach to model learner by diagnosis techniques, especially, history data and model based diagnosis.
