摘要

In deepwater rice, accumulation of ethylene in the submerged internodes is, at least in part, responsible for the stimulation of the internodal elongation. In this study, using 16 rice varieties with different elongation ability, we investigated the relationship between elongation ability, and endogenous and exogenous ethylene. Experiment 1; Fourteen of Deepwater rice varieties with different LEI position and different elongation rate, and two ordinary paddy rice were used. Seeds were sown in plasticpot (one plant per pot). When seedlings of each variety start to grow their internodes, they were submerged up to the lamina joint of the uppermost leaf, and the water level was adjusted every day After two weeks of submergence, the gas sample of internodal lacunae was taken from the uppermost elongating internode and ethylene concentration was measured by gas chromatography. The length of internode was also measured and elongation rate per day was calculated.
