PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel variant of Oryza sativa L. having a high content of a resistant starch without using a recombinant technique.;SOLUTION: A variant of Oryza sativa L. of a non-genetically modified organism in which Oryza sativa L. branching enzyme IIb (BEIIb) locus is recessive homozygote, and in which SSIIa gene and GBSSI gene derived from Indica rice are introduced by mating is obtained. For the variant of Oryza sativa L., the seed weight is maintained 80% or more as compared with wild types, and the agronomic character is maintained. Furthermore, the seed of the variant of Oryza sativa L. comprises resistant starch which is incomparably rare in Oryza sativa L., the content of the resistant starch of cooking-rice is enabled to be 10 to 30%, and the ratio of amylose is enabled to be 35% or more.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
