THE AGROFORESTRY, A SYSTEM FOR ECOLOGICALLY FRIENDLY AND MULTIFUNCTIONAL USE OF NATURAL RESOURCES

As an economic activity, the agroforestry has been known for centuries and essentially represents the most ancient spontaneously arising extensive form of land use: However under the contemporary conditions, the agroforestry is considered a modern technology characterized by pur-posefulness, integrity and intensity. In contrast to the conventional agriculture, the production intensification in the agroforestry is realized not by industrial factors (mineral fertilizers, growth regulators, plant protection etc.), but by biointensive ones, i.e. through the use of positive biological mutual influence created under joint growing of different organisms.
