This paper discusses an approach for preparation of optimal sequence of operations for bord and pillar (B & P) development using side dump loader (SDL) by network planning, method. A sequencing model is developed which consists of two parts, first part makes an estimate of time requirement of each operation in a face cycle viz. drilling, blasting, supporting and loading by simulation and in second part, operations are arranged in proper sequence as per availability' of crews and SDLs to minimise slack time.
