摘要

Hydrogen sulfide is a common harmful gas during tunnel construction. It is of great safety significance to detect hydrogen sulfide during tunnel excavation. In this study, a novel hydrogen sulfide sensing material was successfully synthesized via hydrothermal process. It was found that flower-like NiO spheres exhibit a high gas response and fast response-recovery speed towards hydrogen sulfide, which results from its high specific surface area. In addition, a possible mechanism about flower-like NiO spheres was proposed. Our work holds bright prospects for achieving high-performance hydrogen sulfide sensor apply in tunnel construction.
