Total has spudded a highly prospective well in an ultra-deep-water block off Cote d'lvoire neighbouring the successful discoveries off Ghana. The Ivoire-1 well is being drilled in the far east of the country in CI-100 in which Total took a 60% stake from Yam Petroleum in 2010.
