Total says it wants to turn Cote d'lvoire into a regional LNG hub after signing a final deal for a new FSRU project. It has been awarded the rights to build and operate an LNG regasification terminal with a large capacity of 3m tpa and first production in mid-2018. The French operator will be able to provide LNG in a ratio to its holding to the group and shows its willingness to look at new integrated developments in order to find a market for its gas. Golar LNG, which will provide the vessel, has also taken an interest.
