FSRUs - the key to open new LNG markets

Although floating LNG import terminals; floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs) is a relatively new segment, it has proven to be a key to develop and open new LNG markets. As the volume of LNG produced and consumed continues to expand at a rapid pace, FSRUs offers new importing markets around the world access to the global LNG market at a fraction of the cost and time for the construction of a land based LNG import terminal.
