Hyundai major restructuring to focus on core

Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) is being split up in its latest attempt to regain competitiveness, with the future focus purely on its core and non-shipbuilding businesses being spun off. South Korean shipbuilders have been selling non-core assets and slashing jobs to cope with shrinking orders from the oil industry that forced the firms into heavy losses last year.
