Welcome to Summer! The U.S. economy is still in a good condition even without a China trade deal and Congress's ratification of the USMCA trade agreement. GDP for the first quarter of this year was at 3.2%. Productivity was also up at 3.6%. As of April, the Consumer Price index was at .3% and unemployment was at a 50 year low of 3.6%. Inflation was at a 2.0% rate annualized. These are all economic numbers we can be happy about and this economy should remain like this at least up through the 2020 elections.
