Psychosocial Emergency Care in Mass Casualty Incidents with Many Directly or Indirectly Involved Children

In mass casualty incidents events with many directly or indirectly involved children, not only emergency medical care, but also psychosocial emergency care must be ensured. In this context, practical references on psychosocial emergency aid, operational tactics as well as leadership and functional structures directly at the place of action are available. This article takes up the public guidelines of the consensus process on psychosocial emergency care in Germany, but also complements and substantiates them.
