Originally launched back in 2011, the Yaris has been treated to a series of mini facelifts rather than an all-new replacement, with the latest edition arriving in showrooms now. Toyota says that more than 900 parts are new, including fresh headlights and a revised grille, while at the rear, the changes are quite significant, with a new tailgate, refreshed light clusters and a re-profiled bumper. Updated colours, upholstery and wheel designs complete the fresh look. Inside, the switchgear has come in for some attention and the new propeller-like air vents are a classy touch. Under the skin, a new front sub-frame, engine mounts and sub-silencer on the exhaust are all designed to reduce noise intrusion. Meanwhile, the steering has been tweaked for a smoother response, and the suspension dampers have been revised to deliver a more comfortable ride.
