Spot LNG prices in Northeast Asia rose 150 to $6 per million Btu, their highest in about six months, on hotter weather and increased demand, according to World Gas Intelligence assessments of cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks ahead. In Southwest Europe, spot LNG prices were assessed 50 higher at $5.30/MMBtu. The UK National Balancing Point (NBP) day-ahead price was assessed 250 higher at $5.45/MMBtu, while September futures rose 200 to $5.42/MMBtu.
