Asian Spot LNG Prices Slide on Lower European Hub Prices

Northeast Asian spot LNG prices tumbled 350 to $4.40 per million Btu,according to World Gas Intelligence assessments for deliveries four to eight weeks ahead,dragged down by lower European gas hub prices.Spot LNG prices in Southwest Europe were assessed a foil $1 lower at $3.40/MMBtu.The UK National Balancing Point(NBP)day-ahead price was assessed 950 lower at $3.42/MMBtu,while the ICE August contract similarly tanked 950 to $3.43/MMBtu.Netbacks for Mideast sellers in Asia were nearly 650/MMBtu higher than in Southwest Europe,while UK/Belgian netbacks were around $ 1.35/MMBtu lower than in Asia.
