Claimed to be the world's first all-electric Refuse Collection Vehicle from an OEM, the launch of Dennis Eagle's eCol-lect follows an exhaustive testing and verification process. Unveiled at IFAT 2018, the prototype vehicle has been in development for the past two years, and is now ready to start rolling off the company's production lines in Leamington Spa, UK. "The timing of the launch has been determined by two processes. First, we had to ensure the infrastructure needed for running electric trucks was sufficiently developed to make it practical for operators," explains Dennis Eagle's Managing Director Kevin Else. "Secondly, we needed to be certain that the technology used in the vehicle was tried, tested and 100% proven. And it is."
