France - Chereau SAS of Avranches says it has sold more than 700 semi-trailers and rigid bodies equipped with SmartOpen-C - it's fully electronically driven and controlled shutter door - since the launch two years ago. This sales performance, according to Christophe Danton, marketing director for Chereau, is actually outstripping demand; he said the company was currently able to build 2.5 units a day (up from two units a day recently) but that demand was such it planned to move to three units a day shortly and then later four.
