A federal judge in California dis- missed claims in a putative class action against St. Ives Apricot Scrub, granting Unilever PLC’s motion for summary judgement and quashing an attempt to link the product to poten- tial skin injuries. Judge Andrew Guilford in the US Dis- trict Court for the Central District of Cali- fornia granted summary judgement in a Dec. 17 order in Kaylee Browning et al v. Unilever, afrming that the plaintifs failed to demonstrate the scrub caused harm and that Unilever mislead consumers.
