This means running fewer hives as efficiently and cost effectively as possible. "If you've got 2000 hives with all the costs associated with that, you need to think whether you could run half that number and get the same output. You have to make sure that every hive you run is productive. There is no point paying to run hives that are not producing,"explains Allen.
