Identification for Key Functional Features of Middle-Level Managers Based on GRA Method: a Case Study of Logistics Industry

With the advent of "Internet plus" era and the strategy of "The Belt and Road", Chinese logistics industry is facing with more opportunities and stricter requirements at the same time. Based on the literature reviews of middle-manager function, the paper developed the functional scale of middle-level managers of Chinese logistics enterprises. Through the survey in logistics enterprises, the paper effectively identified the critical and important function feature of middle-level managers. The results showed that individual characteristics function, management functions, planning functions, professional functions and interpersonal functions are the five important functional groups feature for middle-level managers of Chinese logistics enterprises in order The grey correlation degrees are 0.73, 0.66, 0.52, 0.47 and 0.39 respectively. The results show that individual characteristics function is the most important function of all characteristics that logistics managers must required. In the end, the paper suggested that the functional mode of middle-level managers in logistics industry can be combined with the corporate strategy.
