US EPA to OK Bio-Ferm biopesticides

The US EPA proposes to register a biofungicide and a bactericide based on the fungus, Aureobasidium pullulans, from Austrian company Bio-Ferm (Tulln). Botector (A pullulans strain DSM 14940 50% + A pullulans strain DSM 14941 50%) is for the control of storage diseases on pome and citrus fruit and for use on grapevines, strawberries and stone fruit to control diseases such as Botrytis cinerea and Monilia spp.
