Canada’s manufacturing sales rose in the month of June. Compared to May, Junemanufacturing sales rose 1.1% which was above a consensus expectation of 1%. Volumesincreased by 0.7%. Durable goods increased by 0.5% from May but represented a 0.25%decrease when measured in volume terms. Within the durable goods category, motor vehiclesales increased 2.8% while fabricated metals also grew – by 3.0%. Primary metalsmanufacturing dropped 0.3% in June.
