摘要

The highest honor within the Teaching of PhysiologySection of the American Physiology Society (APS) is to beselected to present the Claude Bernard Lecture during theExperimental Biology Meetings. The 2010 recipient wasProf. Robert A. Bjork (Fig. 1), who currently is a Distin-guished Professor of Psychology at the University of Cali-fornia-Los Angeles (UCLA) while being Director and aPrinciple Investigator at the UCLA Bjork Learning andForgetting Laboratory. His presentation, "Making thingshard on yourself, but in a good way: creating desirabledifficulties to enhance learning," was well received by anattentive audience and is being published in this issue ofAdvance in Physiology Education.
