The All India Plastics Manufacturers'Association (AIPMA) had organized an Industry Meet on 5th October, 2017 at Hotel Leela, Mumbai which was presided over by Processors largely MSMEs of Plastics Industry with Shri Rajeev Kapoor-IAS, Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India to discuss various burning issues of Plastics Industry, primarily hurdles faced due to GST, confusions on HSN Codes and negative impact leading to closure of large numbers of MSME units and unemployment crises, etc.
