A NEW AUSTRALIAN CULTIVAR OF SINAPIS ALBA L

Pairwise crosses were made by hand emasculation and pollination in a bee-proof glasshouse between three yellow-seeded, domesticated, northern European and Canadian cultivars and three brown-seeded, wild Israeli lines of Sinapis alba L (White Mustard).The three crosses were Kirby x Nahara, Ochre x Bet Dagan, and Pennant x Tel Ma'aberot The names of the wild lines are their localities of collection in Israel. I am indebted to two people in the Israeli Agricultural Research Service for the provision of these seeds.
