I've had a lot of good feedback on my AM/FM/CW Scanning HF/VHF RF Signal Generator design(June/July 2019;siliconchip.com.au/Series/3361.I have also received a few complaints about the operation of the on/off switch and glitches in the operation of the rotary encoder.I looked into why the power on/off switching circuit may not reliably turn off.Analysis has shown that variations in power supply bypassing capacitors fitted to AD9850 modules or the use of external power supplies(this can vary from just luF up to lOOuF!)with moderate supply ripple may lead to this problem.
