CAP reform 'delegated acts' approved by committee

The so-called 'delegated acts' for the 2014-2020 CAP reform - laying down technical implementation details - have been backed by the European Parliament's agriculture committee.ComAgri members rejected all motions for resolutions raising objections to the acts last week (April 7), though the implementing plans must still not be rejected by the wider Parliament or member state governments in the Council in order to be enacted.The European Commission adopted ten delegated acts in mid-March. The documents allow the EU executive to supplement or amend 'non-essential' elements of the reform deal, to make the political agreements a reality at farm level.
